Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RoomSaathi mobile app and website ("Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement to use RoomSaathi. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you meet this requirement.

2. Account registration

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep it updated.
• One account per person; impersonation or fake profiles are not permitted.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or duplicate listings or profile information.
• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users.
• Use the Service for any commercial solicitation unrelated to room or roommate matching.
• Attempt to bypass, scrape, or reverse-engineer the platform.
• Circumvent safety or verification features.

4. Listings and matching

RoomSaathi provides matching and discovery tools to help you find rooms and roommates. We do not guarantee a successful match, the availability of any listed room, or the outcome of any conversation initiated through the app.

5. No brokerage fees

RoomSaathi does not charge brokerage fees to connect users. Any rent, deposit, or other payment terms are agreed directly between users and are not processed or guaranteed by RoomSaathi.

6. Content ownership

You retain ownership of content you post (photos, listing details, messages), but grant RoomSaathi a licence to display and use that content within the Service for the purpose of operating the platform, including matching and search.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false verification information, or engage in behaviour that puts other users at risk. You may delete your account at any time — see our Account Deletion page.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is". As detailed in our Disclaimer, RoomSaathi is not a party to any agreement between users and is not liable for disputes, losses, or damages arising from user interactions.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Pune, Maharashtra.
