Account Deletion

You can delete your RoomSaathi account and associated data at any time. This page explains how to request deletion and what happens to your information afterward.

1. Delete from within the app

• Open the RoomSaathi app and go to Profile → Settings.
• Tap Account, then Delete account.
• Confirm your phone number or OTP when prompted.
• Your account will be deactivated immediately and scheduled for permanent deletion.

2. Delete by email

If you no longer have access to the app, email tech@roomsaathi.in from your registered email address, or include your registered phone number, with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". We will verify your identity and process the request within 7 business days.

3. What gets deleted

• Your profile, photos, and preference data.
• Your listings, if any.
• Your chat history with other users.
• Your login credentials and OTP records.

4. What we may retain

We may retain limited information — such as transaction records, reports of abuse involving your account, or data required by law — for a period necessary to comply with legal, tax, or safety obligations, even after your account is deleted. This data is kept securely and is not used for any other purpose.

5. Timeline

Account deactivation is immediate. Full deletion of personal data from our active systems is completed within 30 days, and from backup systems within 90 days.

6. Changed your mind?

If you contact us within 7 days of submitting a deletion request, we can cancel the request and restore your account. After that window, deletion is permanent and your data cannot be recovered.
