UI/UX Designer

RoomSaathi is a fast-growing PropTech startup simplifying room rentals and roommate discovery across India. We're looking for a designer to help shape the product experience, ground-up.

Full-time / Contract Remote Flexible hours

About RoomSaathi

We connect property owners, tenants, and roommates through verified listings, smart search, secure communication, and an intuitive experience. We're building technology that makes finding accommodation faster, safer, and more transparent.

Role overview

You'll shape the end-to-end experience across web and mobile — working closely with product and engineering to design flows that thousands of people use to find their next room, flat, or plot.

What you'll do

  • Design intuitive, user-centered flows for web and mobile products.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI in Figma.
  • Maintain and evolve a consistent design system (components, tokens, type scale).
  • Conduct lightweight user research and usability testing.
  • Translate product requirements into clear, pixel-perfect designs.
  • Collaborate closely with developers on implementation and handoff.
  • Design for accessibility and responsive layouts across devices.
  • Iterate on designs based on user feedback and product analytics.
  • Create marketing and promotional visuals when needed.
  • Contribute ideas to improve product features and user experience.

Qualifications

  • • Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • • 1–3 years of experience designing digital products.
  • • A strong portfolio showing end-to-end product design work and clear reasoning.
