Mobile App Developer

RoomSaathi is a fast-growing PropTech startup simplifying room rentals and roommate discovery across India. We're looking for a React Native developer to help build our mobile app, ground-up.

We connect property owners, tenants, and roommates through verified listings, smart search, secure communication, and an intuitive experience. We're building technology that makes finding accommodation faster, safer, and more transparent.

Role overview

You'll help build and ship our React Native mobile app — working closely with design, product, and backend to deliver matching, chat, and listing features to thousands of students and owners.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain cross-platform mobile apps using React Native.
  • Implement smooth navigation, animations, and gesture-based interactions.
  • Integrate REST APIs and real-time features (chat, notifications).
  • Work with native modules for Android and iOS where needed.
  • Implement secure authentication and role-based access (student/owner).
  • Optimize app performance, load times, and memory usage.
  • Handle image/media uploads via S3 or Cloudinary.
  • Integrate push notifications and deep linking.
  • Debug, test, and resolve issues across Android and iOS devices.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers on API contracts.
  • Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement pixel-perfect screens.
  • Publish and manage releases on the Play Store and App Store.

Qualifications

  • • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • • 0–2 years of experience — freshers with strong projects are encouraged to apply.
  • • A portfolio, published app, or GitHub projects that show real mobile development skill.
